A big hello to everyone following Wigwam Toys, and thank you to all our lovely customers who have been so patient during the transition earlier this year. We are really pleased with the refurbishment and we have more plans for the exterior of the shop too, watch this space….
It’s been a really crazy year for us so far. We have been open just over 5 months, and I can’t believe how quickly time has passed and how much we have learnt. The highlight of last month was visiting Top Draw in London, we met lots of lovely people and found some really beautiful, unusual and exciting products for the shop. Things will be coming in from now until right up to Christmas and I will keep you up to date with all the new arrivals as they come in.
you can keep up to date with goings on here on the blog, on our Facebook page, on twitter @wigwamtoys, and on Pinterest, find us as “wigwam Toys”.
We are really pleased to be one of the five retailers in the south east who stock Lottie Doll, before her main launch next year. At last a doll that I am happy to give to my daughter! She is based on the shape of an average 9 year old girl, no make up, high heels or jewellery, plus, she gets to do exciting outdoor things – she is a pirate queen, a lighthouse keeper, she rides a horse, walks the dog, goes to festivals and, of course, dresses up. Her facebook page has loads of information about her, and she has gathered a lot of press attention recently, as she fills a gap in the market – a strong, healthy little girl, rather than the distorted proportions of dolls such as Barbie.
I’m off to price up the kids umbrellas, make displays with the fake blood and face paints for Halloween, blow up inflatable pumpkins, oh, and drink tea. It’s a hard job but someones got to do it! Enjoy your weekend.
